This morning I logged onto LinkedIn to post about my price-raise and, as usual, checked out my recent "profile viewers" to see if there are any juicy leads checking me out.
I was shocked to see this:

Now, why would someone at police department be checking me out?
I can only come to one conclusion -
They heard about the criminally low price of Voice of Fame and are considering pressing charges...
Okay, that was pretty corny.
But in all seriousness: A $2000 price rise? Isn't that extreme?
Um - no. No it is not. Because the original price of $6000 is excessively cheap for the value my brand voice guides provide.
Think about it.
Let's count what your brand puts out in a week.
Three emails. Five Instagram posts. Two TikToks. A handful of stories. Some ad creative. Maybe a product page update.
That's a lot of content. Content you're paying people to create and paying to promote.
And because "brand voice" seems like a "nice to have, maybe one day, we've got to pull in more sales today, let's tweak this ad now" - you just keep putting out more content without thinking about the fact that even if you're content is converting nicely - it's not compounding.
It's not building something in the viewer's mind that makes them more likely to come back next week. Next month. Without being retargeted.
Each piece of content does its small job - gets the click, maybe makes the sale - and then it evaporates. It leaves no impression. No residue of character. Nothing interesting enough for them to share with their friend.
So you keep filling the top of the funnel, because that's where the easy, obvious levers are - the ads, the creative, the offers. You can see those numbers. You can move those numbers.
So you don't look deeper.
Until the day you finally pull the data and see it. 7 out of 10 customers never came back. Every one of them cost you money on the first order. Every one of them was supposed to become profitable on the second. And every one of them is gone.
So if you frame it like that - $6000 to build the entire content infrastructure that makes every ad you put out infinitely more valuable and helps you build a community of repeat buyers and become a BRAND rather than just a commodity - that's a dirt cheap investment.
$6000 undersells the value, and perhaps that's why people don't appreciate what this will do for their brand. The actual impact it will have on their ability to scale profitably and have not just nice revenue numbers, but better profit margins.
So that's why the price is going up to $8000 on Sunday at midnight.
