An Ode To You

O say, I can see, by the early morning glow
What your family and friends see when they greet you each night
Someone hardworking and good, through the tough daily grind
O’er the mundane tasks done, you stay focused and bright

And though rockets don't glare, or fireworks burst in the air
You give proof in the night, that good people are here
O say, does your simple and hard work inspire
O’er a world of chaos and mess, your goodness lights like a fire

This is just your reminder to hold your head high and feel pride in what you're doing. Because really, it's the people like you and me, just showing up for the people around us every day, that are the backbone of this world.
